A window in my home has a different light in the afternoon,

and I think of it as my little artist’s atelier.

I love to put objects there to see their transformation,

yet the beauty I am seeing

is something that has always been there.

i spent way more time at the computer in this past month than has been good for me. and have been feeling the accumulated effects of too much sitting and scrolling.

so this morning, the winter wind whistles through my bare blog.

I put everything in the trash and am starting again, with no manifesto or proclamations about what I plan to do. not yet thinking what i want to write about or post,

just that it’s worth showing, sharing, and writing about.

something that’s real.
